How do you know what is run at boot, and how do i stop them being run in the future.
what i mean is, stuff like httpd, pcmcia, etc
i dont need half the stuff i installed so i know want to know how to remove some of them.

Try running "linuxconf" or "tksysv"...
btw - for linuxconf - "Control"->"Control Panel"->"Control service activity"
Note: must be run as root

As root, run:
setup
