mandrake 7.2 and scsi emulation for CDR

Manrake 7.2 applied the SCSI emulation my cd writer OK. but, it didn't do this to my ordinary CD player. So, in cd writing software, because it only looks for "SCSI" cd roms, it doesn't list my first CD player (I want to copy cd - my first cd player to read the cd, the cd writer to write it)

How do I manually setup mandrake 7.2 so the SCSI emulation is applied to the first CD player?
