I have a gateway p2/350 with an iomega zip drive not a scsi drive i cant get it to work either after reading the manuals or the zip help section...i have added the following line to /etc/fstab :
/dev/zip /mnt/zip vfat user,noauto 0 0
i have tried this line among many others in the zip help section...after making a kdelink on the desktop i try it and the zip drive activates but it gives me a bad option, wrong fs type, bad superblock etc message i was wondering if i can get some help? oh i added the line in the console ln /dev/hdd /dev/zip to link them as i believe hdd is the proper designation for my zip drive...perhaps hehehe
