Ok heres an easy one for ya!

How do i stop my modem waiting for dial tone before it dials.

In your modem setup string, insert the command X3 (if there's already a command X4, replace it with X3). This will disable dialtone detection.

At least it works on all my modems. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
