Iget an erorr that says
Starting Partmon checking if partition has enough
free disk space
warning: freespace for for (/) is only <9428>which is greater than<20000>

has anyone ran into this problem and resolved it

I get an error similiar to this and can't boot into GUI. Apache, BIND and lots of other stuff doesn't work. I have plenty of drive space, but I think the partitions are too small or something. I don't know what to do either.

Yep, it's saying that your root partition (including the other top level directories NOT allocated to their own partitions) is full.

You will need to figure out what directories are in the same partition as your root and which of those have lots of files under them. Some good candidates are /var/log and /usr. Just having enough hard disk turf is not good enuff, you need to look at how that territory is managed with your partitioning scheme.

Again hoffa69... Please stop posting your same question in multiple threads that belong to others.

Just reinstall your distro and this time create the partition sizes according to your requirements.

Yes I do understand, BUT those theads are very old and quite a few of the members in those theads no longer frequent LNO.

Even so, you are bringing these topics back to the top of the list and then posting your question in multiple theads/forums. Now you have at least 4 topics going while others just have one.

All I ask is that you make it fair for others. Everyone should get the same chance... No more... No less...
