I am trying to install Red HAt Linux 6.0 on a U-DMA 20.3 GB from Seagate. After selecting Languages and proceding with installation I get the following messages " No drives found , no valid devices found on which to create filesystems". I am completly new to Linux, pls Help Many Thanks in advance

is this drive on a udma controller card? if so try passing the i/o and irq to lilo
e.g ide0=0xb000,0xb402,11
(last number is IRQ).

oh yea, these numbers are probably not right for your system. obtained from
