Video redirect to serial port

Does anyone know how to send the terminal output to a serial port. What I am trying to do is setup linux to act like a Sun machine so that I can "terminal" in with a machine or console server and not need a keyboard, mouse and monitor.

I hope this makes sense to everyone.
