I have been having a multitude of problems with my NIC and slack. It is a LinkSys LNE100tx i believe. I can't seem to get the module to load when I use insmod or modprobe. I get an invalid io_param message. Does anyone know how to get this to work? Do I need a new driver?
thanks

I've found out that LinkSys isn't very good with Linux no matter what the box said.
I had them (still do) but found a guy that let me have 4 3com905 cards for $5...
Boy!...was I happy about that.
Check out this link...

Hi:
Linksys Cards offer nothing but pain under Linux. Can they be made to work? Yes. Is it worth the effort? Not to me. If you can afford it, go buy a well-supported NIC for about $15 US.
I've more than a few Linksys NIC's here, but not the one you have. All said "linux compatible" on the box, all were a pain to set up. Think I'll use them for ice scrapers soon.
Good Luck.
What NIC would you guys recommend? And where can I get a cheap one?
thanks
