Hey there, I have some quick questions about Konqueror and why it won't recognize any of the plugins I have for it. For starters, I'm on a Debian potato (2.2) system and have KDE 2.1.2 and Konqueror 2.1.1 installed and working fine (except the plugins). I want Java and Flash plugins to work in konqueror, but unfortunatly I haven't been able to get this. As of right now, under the konqueror settings, I have "Enable plugins globablly" checked, I have "enable javascript globally" checked (JavaScript DOES work), and I have "enable Java globally" checked and pointing to my /usr/java/jre1.3.1/bin directory. Under the Netscape Plugins area for Konqueror, I added the /usr/java/jre1.3.1 (where my JRE is located) and $HOME/flash_linux (where my flash plugin is located) directories to the directories for Konqueror to scan list. I "Scan for new plugins", and when I go to the Plugins tab I see that Konqueror has found all the plugins and seemingly set them up properly (mime types, suffixes, description etc.) However, despite "finding" these plugins, Java and flash still don't work =/ What am I missing? I do NOT have Netscape actually installed..I really don't want to waste the diskspace, and from what I figured I didn't need it installed if Konqueror is finding the plugins. Any help is appreciated, I'm at the end of my rope closing all these damn new windows that pop up...at times I've had 5 new windows open all taking me to macromedias' site and telling me to download flash =( So if anyone knows how to fix my flash and java plugin woes, thanks in advance!
