Here goes, I intend to run a mud on my new linux box, but am worried about hack attacks. Does Linux have any security programs that will stop most hack attempts? I am new to linux and mud hosting and dont have a clue as to what and where to start with security issues.
Thanks

You REALLY need to read the security NHF on this site.. if you don't already have a firewall up and services shut down, you are a wide open door to hack attempts just by being on the internet.
