what does a guy mean when he says,
"can you get into Caldera at the CLI? If so, use cfdisk to delete the ext2 partitions, etc. Then reboot with a dos disk and do fdisk/mbr"

i know cli means command line interface(i think), im familiar with linux commands and such, but installation and stuff is all new to me. im trying to get caldera clearly off my system to i can install win95 before i get mandrake. i deleted the partitions(no partitions on my comp period). now what?

If the partitions are gone, create seperate partitions (Win95/mdk swap/mdk - at least) and install winders then mdk. just my $.02

In order to get rid of LILO you need to boot your computer with a dos or windows boot disk and type the following at the A:\ prompt.

A:\fdisk /mbr

this will get rid of lilo so that you can install windows without any problems. If you were not using LILO or any other boot loader then you don't need to worry about it.
