jbuilder, unable to type!

i installed jbuilder5 pro the other day on Debian woody.
its all good, i can add buttons etc everything works but....
i cant type in the code window! its odd.
i have no idea what the problem is! if anyone has anyidea then please tell me coz im lost.
plus i cant find any forums or decent support on the borland site!! :( :)

a google search did it! (well after about 500 different combos of 'jbuilder' 'type' 'unable' 'typing' etc.....)
it was numlock! if you got that on you cant type!! how dumb but at least im happy now.
