I'm ready to go through the headache of trying to learn how to install apps in Linux. (Mandrake 8.1) I was wondering if anyone had any good sites to look through for downloading. There are a lot I could use but mostly looking for 3d related and graphics related but I am looking for other things so any link would be appreciated.

I already know about Blender, any others for 3d?

I stumbled across linux.davecentral.com this morning... looks interesting... you could give it a try. Also freshmeat.net and sourceforge are always good... last but not least, downloads.com has a linux section.

Good luck,

The worlds RPM's are at: www.rpmfind.net (http://www.rpmfind.net)
But, watch what you are doing, make sure about the distro, many of the RH things will work, but be warned that some will not.
