Copy and Paste Frustrations (KDE)

I'm running KDE and I'm having a really hard time copying and pasting text between applications.

For instance, I just posted a message on the forum, and I had to copy and paste the output of an error message. First I tried to copy and paste directly from the terminal. The I tried to direct the output of the program to an ASCII file and copy and paste from the KDE text editor. It still didn't work. I had to open the text file with my browser to copy and paste it in here.

There must be a better way! :(

Just highlight the text and then click the middle mouse button where you want to paste it. Also, make sure you leave the terminal (or whatever) open while pasting somewhere.

When you select your mouse if you have a two button mouse you need to select the option "Emulate Three Button Mouse". Now when you want to copy you select with left button hold and drag, copy by clicking right button, paste by clicking both buttons.
