hi is any software that will let you connect to linux and its drives, but still have the xwindows interface as well, i understand samba lets you see linux drives from a windows box....

Samba will also let you see windows drives from a linux box. ;)

Samba for file and print sharing.

VNC for displaying Xwindows on a Windows box. Install VNC server on Linux and VNC viewer on Windows.
