I hate messing with printcap files. This utility works great. I would think RedHat would install this by default. I install it on every machine regardless of the distro. I was looking at the compatiblity at linuxprinting.org but my printer laserjet hp2100tn is not mentioned so i don't even know whether my printer is supported or not. Or should i do like windows like connect my printer and restart the computer. Is it plug and play kinda thingy.. I don' know whether i am talkin correct or not..but newbie so can' help thanks loo Shad 11-21-2000, 03:16 PM Use printtool. It will set up your queue and list all the filters (drivers) available. If your printer is not listed, try a similiar model. Most HP's can use lesser model drivers, you just will not have access to the higher resolutions. ------------------ Just a Tuna in the Sea of Life justlinux.com
