I need to manage financial historical data downloaded from dj site, using Mandrake 8.2.
I would like to have some suggestion regarding:

1) What to use to create scheduled script
2) What to use to manage data (import, query, form,...)

In mandrake It exist a solution similar to MSACCESS or Filemaker?

There are some good database programs in Linux, like PostgreSQL and mySQL.

I'm not very proficient in either, though. Just thought I'd tell what I knew...
