Yeah I know, linux website, linux forum, linux users. But I know also that it's a forum to help people, and I didn't find a solution anywhere...

I need to go under win to cut some files to a CD to use under linux. But, (once more), win has a problem. I downloaded a file a few days ago (a zip), and I launched the application which was in hte zip-file. Everything crashed down, I had to reboot. But now, each time I reboot, the application (which was still open when I shut down) starts, and then it prints "Pas assez de mémoire conventionnelle" (erm, in english it's smthing like "Not enough conventionnal memory..."). I click OK, but this f--king program started before everything, or at least closed all the other programs starting at booting. When I press "Ctrl+Alt+Del", I see that NOTHING is running. So I reboot, and the same thing happens again. In safe-mode too.
Is there any way to avoid this ? I deleted the zip-file I downloaded (by acceeding to the win-disk under linux) but it still starts every time I launch win.

If someone could help me, it would be really greatly appreciated... Thanx...

PS: if this post about win is causes any problem here, please tell me and I will erase it immediatly. But I think here is my last chance to find a solution... :(

try booting in safe mode (think its F8) press the F key b4 the splash screen appears. See what you can do there, you might be able to delete it.

Mount Win partition from linux.
And try the following.

I guess must have load it self either in startup/registry or win.ini

Start by checking win.in (it's the windows).
look for run=
if their sometjing there and look to be the program you installed remove it.

If that does not work feel free e-mail if wish.

If feel more comfortable spekaing in french it not problems.
