Hi friends:

Well, f@ckin' Corel has the audacity to charge $25 for flippin' old Email support after 30 days for their products. I don't think so Tim.

Any hoo. ..I'm running Mandrake 8 (beta 3) although I don't for a second believe this is a beta problem. I can install from my WordPerfect cd easily enough, but when I try to launch WordPerfect or Quatro Pro, it pops up the little message box informing me that the "fontastik" font server cannot be loaded; that it is not added to the font path. Does this mean it needs to be appended in my Xf86config-4 file? Or other? Can anyone who is familiar with this type of scenario offer some sound advice?

I before had a copy of wp2000 and the fontastic server had lots of problems for me. Sometimes it fails to shutdown and evreything. My advice is to just use Star Office for documents. It is a lot stable and fun to use. And corel needs the big $$.
Star Office is free if you register online.
If you insist on wp2000, i think you should uninstall the product and reinstall.

He, this sounds like Windows! Must be because M$ invested in Corel :D

Sorry, this is off-topic, but I could not help myself :p

Go to http://linux.corel.com and download the install script and corel photopaint9.

Also they list various other solutions on the knowledge base. The point of the fees is more to get you to actually use thier resources than it is to make money.
