After reading "Real Quick Enlightenment Question", I decided to just run E by itself.
(I didnt know you can run it stand alone)

well, here's my problems.

First, I closed the pager, and try to enable it again, but it appeared off screen.
I knew it was off screen because I was able to see part of it. When I tried to drag it back onto the desktop, it closed again. now it appears completely off the desktop and I can't get it back. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/frown.gif
How can I make appear on the desktop again.
I tried disabling/enabling it, restarting E, restarting X, but nothing works.

Question 2. How can I run Gaim or other Gnome programs without it having it load gnome?

thanks

I'm looking into Question 1 right now and will answer in a minute if I figure it out.

Question 2 - GNOME shouldn't load.. it doesn't for me. What Enlightenment are you using? I'm running 0.16.5

A possible solution to Q1 might be to do a rm -rf ~/.enlightenment/cached/pager. Not sure if this works, and I don't want to fubar my configuration (and I don't have the time to back it up and try).

The way I was able to fix that was to right click on the desktop and then into virtual desktops and added a couple horizontaly. That brought the pager far out enough to pull it into the screen fully, then I deleted the additional virtual screens and placed the pager where i wanted it. HTH

I removed the cache.
Works, except that all the setting get reset.
who cares, not a big deal.
