this is an odd problem, its net urgent but i bet it will screw me up later.
I can't ping.
I use rp-pppoe (v2.3) to connect on my adsl line. I can connect and use the connection fine no prob, but i can't ping.
ping www.excite.com (http://www.excite.com) just times out, but i can go to the webpage.
there are a few things i can ping, my eth cards, and myself when connected. I have never gotten ping to work correctly (it might have, before rp-pppoe, but hard to test with no internet connection http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif
