I'm a linux n00b but I want and need to learn how to get around in it for my job so I dnld and install Mandrake 8.2 with Network apps (apache, php, ftp. etc) ...no prob.
By default Mandrake installed ProFTPd which is a cryptic as it get to configure.. for me anyway. But in KDE there's a gui tool called FTPd editor.
Anyway.. I want to nix ProFTPd and run KwuFTPd instead. SOoo... how do stop Proftpd from starting up automatically and have KwuFTPd start instead. Any help/tips appreciated!!

Do you still need assistance with the ProFTPd question you posted in the General forum?

If not, then may I suggest you delete that one. Thanks
