hi, after installing Suse64, when i select shut down, my computer can not switch off. the last message is ...level 0 reached. it was switching off in Suse6.2. how can i make it work? thanks a lot.

You need these 2 options to be enabled in the compiled kernel, under General setup ---> <*> Advanced Power Management BIOS support Use real mode APM BIOS call to power off bushwacker 10-15-2000, 05:42 AM You may also want to check your file permissions to make sure that something isn't wrong. The simplest way to do this is via LinuxConf. Also, make sure that your APM settings are where they should be in your BIOS's CMOS.
