Luke theflash 11-01-2000, 10:43 PM I've switched back and forth in between RH 7.0 and Mandrake 7.0 the past week or so. I can't tell any difference in the speed between the two. Letalis 11-02-2000, 03:22 AM I think the difference is the kernel... If you kompile your own kernel in either it will be lightyears faster than the other with a precompiled kernel... DrDrake 11-02-2000, 08:04 AM Drake is faster! muhahha chadm1967 11-02-2000, 08:51 AM I have Mandrake 7.2 running on one PC and Red Hat 7 on another (both have AMD K6-3 CPU's). I see no speed difference at all. zippohippo 11-02-2000, 09:02 AM The only difference I saw was that Red Hat (6.0) took FOREVER to start up, Mandrake didn't seem to have that problem.
