Okay, say I want to make an iso of debian, but NOT the officially released image of potato. Is it possible to create an iso with the packages in woody. I know it's still indevelopment and it's unlikely I would ever do this (since apt-get has me as up to date as I currently need to be)... I just want to know if it can be done and how one would do it?
Download all the packages available then compile them into a singe, useable iso of woody. Can do? Can't?
Thoughts? Thanks gang! http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

I wouldn't recommend it, but the command you're looking for is mkisofs.

Really, I was just curious.
So essentially, one would download all of the files, put them in a main, a contrib and a non-free directory and include the packages.gz for each, then collectively place them into another directory then mkisofs, then try to burn that baby?
Hmm... again, just kinda curious, ya know?
Thanks klamath!
