Hmm, I have certain console programs like Vim and Mutt and so on set to use colors (in Vim's case syntax hilighting) which I find works really great.
Only problem is that these colours only work when actually working in the console. When I open up a terminal window (Aterm or Xterm) then it's just in black and white. Lighter colours just show up as bold white and darker colours as normal white.
Is this a terminal setting or something. How do I get colour in my term windows?
The strange thing is that files and directories are still in colour when using 'ls' in a term window.
