hi guys, i'm VERY new to linux and i'm curious about something...
i have a CD-RW drive in my box (which dual boots between win98 and RH7), is there any software available that will allow me to burn audio and data cd's within linux? if so, is it GUI?
thanks in advance!

There are several programs, eroast,gmcbust,Kisocd,x-cd-roast,gtoaster. I am sure a few of them should have come with redhat, if not goto rpmfind.com and search for the rpm,s.......
Hope this helps.....

I prefer the cdrecord for burning because its fast and actually pretty easy to learn. It's a cli program, the gui ones are usually just frontends for it. Maximum Linux ran an article on burning CD's with Linux in the Set/Oct 2000 issue. It's posted online here (http://www.maximumlinux.com/howtos/howto/2000_11_02/learn_01.html). Check it out. It's helped me numerous times.

And you should have all the cdrecord and other cd recording documentation installed with your distro. man pages, FAQ's, HOW-TO's and the documentation specific to the CD software installed.
