Can anyone help with the setup for this? The only reason I ever log into windows is to use Quicken. I use this daily so it is quite a pain.

After many failed attempts a while back, I gave up. I was wondering if any recent releases of wine handled it any better.

TIA

I can only give hints, cause in fact I never bothered with wine.

First of all, most applications will work best if you have a native windows (95/98) on another partition and the app is already installed.

Make sure you mounted that 95/98 partition and then install wine. Run the setup and point it to your excisting windows installation.

Then try to run the app and see if it works.
That's the best I advice I can give you.

There's the question I haven't been able to answer either. How do I run the exe? Does anyone know? I mean, I click on the file, I type in the file, I do it on my parition, my old windows partition, etc. Is wine supposed to just kick in?

I think it's

wine /path/to/windows/exe

Of course www.winehq.com (http://www.winehq.com) has more on the subject including documentation and a known to work application database.

There could be something on Quicken.
