I have seen a pictures of terminals on peoples system that were kind of transparent, what terminal is that? I tried all of the ones that I have installed in my system, but none of them are like that. Is it maybe a setting for an X-term?

Gnome terminal & eterm can do that. I think aterm can as well. (never used it)
for eterm, get a jpg image suitable for a background. open eterm and type Esetroot -s /path_to_file.jpg
Go into where you customize the appearance (forgot the name). go to background > transparency > toggle transparency.
