Wine won't work

I installed mandrake 8 recently, including the the wine package. However, when I try to run programs it has all kinds of errors, like with crap in the config file and stuff. Is there stuff I need to do after installation to get it to work?

Wine plain doesn't work well with a lot of programs..even if u see the program pop up, many of the functions can't be used.i haf already given up configuring it :)

Anyway, much windows stuff u can find similar stuff in linux. I can recommend u some if u like ;)
