I am trying to install wine, and when I click in the rpm file, it tells me that I lack some files upon which wine is dependent. The files are as follows:
libxv.so.1, libXxf86dga.so.1, libc.so.6(glibc_2.2)
What do I need to do to install wine?

What version of glibc are you currently running?
rpm -q glibc
If it's less than 2.2, it looks like you'll need to download and upgrade glibc prior to installing wine.
And the rpm dependency tail-chasing begins...

There is a RPM Dependency NHF under Software I believe that describes the general dependency problem and suggestions on what can be done to resolve them.

One choice is to visit www.rpmfind.net (http://www.rpmfind.net) and insert the needed file name in the box. When it searches, it tells you the correct package which contains it. Then, if you wish, you can download that package. (Do be sure to look in your CD's to make sure you don't have that version already, if you did less than a complete install.) Then, is when you discover the need for the next dependency, etc.
I got into a loop in May where kdeadmin needed kdelibs and kdelibs needed kdeadmin. Gross!
I installed them both --nodeps and it didn't work anyway. I finally gave up, and got Drake 8.0.
