Okay this may seem like a blazingly stupid question but........hey I'm a linux newbie.
I currently use Mandrake 7.2, I've downloaded some Debian install files I'd like to put on some floppies. I've tried to drag and drop the downloaded files to the floppy and get input/output error(5). I've also tried to copy the files to the floppies from the command prompt, same result input/output error.
I've formatted the disks using the ext2 file system. And the floppy drive is mounted. In fact when I use the mount command I'm told drive is already mounted. I've also downloaded and attempted to copy the files as both user and root and neither has worked. Any ideas of what's wrong?
