I'm not at the computer but I had my wife boot up my computer so I could ftp some stuff to it and it said checking filesystem and then it asked for the root password to go to maintenance mode (weird in itself cause it was shutdown properly) so she gave it root password i then had her try and run

# fsck /dev/hda

and it gave segmentation fault
then i had her try reboot and that gave segmentation fault also.. any suggestions??

this is the latest mandrake freq..

Ehm try fdisk to see what partitions you have.
You should do fsck /dev/hda1 or fsck /dev/hdb1...
