I have a RH box on a cable modem that is on line 24x7.
Is there a script or program that will ping my website at my hosting company every x minutes and give me a simple report on the uptime?

Thanks,

Gene

This site e-mails you when your server goes down and again when it comes back up.

the problem with that is that if your connection goes down, or the connection between you and your server goes down, or the connection to the server goes down, your site will appear to go down.

the only real way to get your true uptime on your server is with uptime.

scripts like whatsup gold and whatnot are primarly used on LAN applications, not over the internet.
