I tried logging onto my friend's ftp today, using gftp, and it stuck at the login process. Turns out passive mode was on, so I turned it off. I could then log in, but when I went to upload it immediately kicked me off.
Then, I tried IglooFTP, and the same thing happened. Again, passive mode was on (whoops) so I turned it off. In Igloo, the welcome message box appears, but then it hangs.
I can ftp fine using the command line, but I'd prefer to use a graphical program, and the fact that they're not working on just this one site really baffles me. They work when I go to other sites, like when I go to my school's server to update my web site.
He's using Serv-U and running Win2K. I can't exactly post his ip for obvious reasons :) but does anybody have any idea what the problem could be?
