Thanks for the reply. I looked there and the following is what I see. I don't see how Kimon is being started.

I should probably be posting this on a KDE site but it's such a confusing mess that I am going to tempt being yelled at by posting here.
Some how or another a program called Kimon got started and keeps attempting to start each time I login. I have looked hi and low and read what I could find about KDE autostart but I simply can not determine where this program is being started from. I have looked in just about every /etc file I can see.
It's really tough getting started with Linux sometimes.

try looking in ~/.kde/Autostart

those are just the language settings. Your first post doesn't really explain what your prob is, so i don't know what you want. I'm guessing that KDE starts on system boot up and you don't like it. try looking in /etc/init.d and /etc/rc.d for instances of KDE beaing started (it depends on your dist for where everything is)
