I upgraded my box with a new video card ATI Rage Fury Pro / 128 Rage chip, AGP. I didn't like the how the XFree86 4.0 driver/server were working so I upgraded to 4.01, ran the 'xf86config' utility restarted the machine and tried running 'startx'. It appeared it loaded the right driver according to XFree86 website pertaining to my hardware, but the font server seemed to have the errors. Is there some utility to configure the Font server? It looks like I will need it to get the x server back up and running.

BTW - I only see the Font server errors after giving the command 'startx'. Then I will see them again during shutdown of the machine with either 'shutdown -h' or 'shutdown -r'. I would think the font server would come up earlier during the boot like in the 'init**' phase of bootup.
