I'm a cs student. I hope to work in
networking after graduation. I still fairly
new to linux. I will be getting a dsl
connection. I trying to think of projects
that i can do with this constant connection
which will help me learn linux and networking
in general. any of you guys have suggestions?

Just load the OS and start learning it. You'll wear out that fat pipe :) Build a website and use MySQL, PHP and SSL. That'll keep you busy for a little while and you can see your work from anywhere in the world.

Starting learning to use linux. That is key if you want to understand it. Learn to compile stuff on it. Ive been using linux as my os for 4 months now, and im still learning. There is always something new you can learn. I guarenteethat!
