HI, how can I have root powers from FTP ?
Is there something like SU (telnet ?)

in /etc/defaults you must comment out the root line and then it will allow root access other then on console... then you can log in as root

why in gods name would you want root FTP privileges ??

THIS IS INSANELY worse than suing to root in TELNET !

Well, what I did is chown my www directory to a user name other than root. Now I can get in www and upload files with a user other than root and I don't need anymore root via telnet =)
