I have a local area network running windows 2000 advanced server as the network operating systen (NOS). On the server machine I have two network cards, one for my modem and one for my LAN, I enabled internet connection sharing on the Adapter that connects to the cable modem, and I can connect to the internet with ease on my windows clients.

Now my question is, how do i configure my linux box to be able to share from this internet connection? .

I tried diong some things but it didn't work. For example, int the "DNS" config screen this is how i filled it in:

default domain: myLANdomainName.net
ip of name server1: 198.162.0.1 (my LAN's
gateway).

Any Information will be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou

use netconf in mandrake to punch in all the numbers. you should be setting the gateway on the madrake machine to the ip of the router I belive.

There's a NHF on IPChains. You can also use PMfirewall at www.pointman.com. (http://www.pointman.com.) This little script will set up everything you need to share your modem.
