When I ran startx, the screen turns blank. No signal. I have tried Red Hat 6.0 and Mandrake 6.0. I also tried the 640x480 at 60Hz monitor among many, many others. Why does this not work? (My CTX monitor is not listed) I know not to use a RAM DAC and stuff like that. I have a All in Wonder PCI 4MB graphics card. See my home page for the startx log and configuration file. Look under About Me, Hardware, Operating Systems, and Linux. The Linux link will take you to that page. In Windows, I use 1024x768 at 85 Hz with a dot clock of 94.5. My monitor reports that it is running at 85.5. A multisync monitor should not have this problem, right? I think it has something to do with the video card, but it is listed as being compatible. I have looked at many FAQs.
