I installed Acrobat Reader(I downloaded it from Adobe's website) but when I
try to run it I get:
/usr/bin/acroread: /usr/local/Acrobat4/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread: No
such file or directory
/usr/bin/acroread: /usr/local/Acrobat4/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread: No
such file or directory

But there is such a directory and file. How can I fix it?

Thank you in advance.

I know this sounds really DUH but make sure of the path and the spelling of the directories. (I know, but I just did this very thing last night. I typed acroead by mistake)

I checked it. The spelling is alright.

Hmmm, what window manager/de do you use. If you use kde, what happens when you click on the acroread icon in konqueror?

Another duh question: did you check the permissions on that file? You probably need both read and execute permissions for it.

I use RadHat7.1 and KDE. I have Konqueror2.1.1 but there is no Acrobat Reader icon on it.
Also I checked permissions - read and execute are enabled.

I meant go into konqeror, bring up the directory acroread program is located in. Click on it. What happens?
