A friend of mine has dsl and nero cd burning software. I asked him to burn an rh 7.2 cd for me but he is having problems doing it.
Every time he burns cd1 it is empty when it is done. when he burned cd2 it showed up as a audio cd. what is going on?
has anyone used nero to burn the rh7.2 cd's?
He select to burn iso cd's, and they were both finalized and labeled CD1 and CD2.
thanks

heh, i used nero to burn rh7.2 and she worked fine. i am assuming that nero and his burner can make cds from isos and do copies just fine, but nero does make a coaster every now and then. hmm, make sure he is burning the iso and making the iso correctly. i've known people to mess up trying to make cds from isos in nero.

What are the setting you used to burn the iso images? and did you label them like this CD1 or CD 1 ? Please give as many details as you can. I know little about nero (accept that he fiddled while rome burned!).
Thanks

The only labeling you may need to do is by use of a soft tip marker pen on the 'label side' of the CD :D

Seriously, any CD burning software should be capable of making a CD from a ISO file by selecting 'create CD from image' somewhere in the file menus.

Cheers :)

ok, well i just burned three slackware isos and all worked fine. if you are using nero then you need to download the iso and then use isobuster to extract the objects. you get it here: http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/ . Now, once you got them extracted you just make a Neroiso (select those files and throw 'em the Neroiso box) and then burn. that worked just fine for me. i did try to burn the iso i got from slackware and nero said she couldn't read it (as well as other isos). that should work, all ya gotta do is sit back, have a PBR, and watch the burn process. repeat for all (two?) discs.

Burning isos with Nero should be a lot more straightforward. Just choose Burn image from the file menu (if I remember correctly).

yeah, it should be. my version of nero 5.0.3.5 will not recognize .iso files. that's why "just click on burn image" will not work.
