Ok I played with Mandrake 8 for awhile a few months ago then deleted it cause i coudlnt figure out how to do much on it :(
but now its time again for me to play with linux, i am going to try the more mainstream red hat 7.2 , my question is will RH7.2 see my NTFS partition from win xp pro, cause i want to be able to play my mp3's in xmms from my windows partition. Also does anyone know of any conflicts with geforce 2 ultra video card and 7.2 i dont want video problems (had that in mandy ugh took so long to fix)

I have a Geforce 2 Ultra and I'm running RH 7.2 and I've never had problems. 2d is supported already but for 3d, you'll obviously need the drivers from nvidia's website.

You can read (but not wrire) NTFS partitions, but you'll have to add support for that in your kernel because the default kernel with 7.2 doesn't support it.
