xfree 4, gnome, and kde

I installed RH 7.0 without kde. I then installed xfree 4.0.3 from the RH 7.1 RPMS and then loaded kde-2.1.1. I have it running, but I'm getting the following error.

When using the kde desktop I get
xlib extension Render missing display "0.0"

When using the gnome desttop I get
xlib extension Xinerama missing dispay "0.0"

There are other problems but I'd like to clear these up first.

My monitor is a Philips 104b and my video card is (i740).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did a Google search for 'xlib extension Render missing display "0.0"' and got quite a few hits. Give it a try and you may get a solution to your problem. Other than that, sorry I have no idea.
