I am a long time Visual Basic programmer on Windoze (and don't tell me Delphi is better just because you don't like Micronsouft - I prefer Linux too but try telling this to all the narrow sighted Windoze users).
Is there any visual development tool for Linux's X environment?

Look into these:
Tk (compatible with all OS)
Gtk (used for Gnome)
Qt (used for KDE)

As for commercial offerings, Code Warrior was recently ported to Linux. Code Crusader is a clone of sorts of Code Warrior, and is without cost, but based on proprietary libraries.

There's also Glade, which is a visual builder for GTK+ applications. It's the most promising of the three imho, because it's free both in the beer & speech sense, but its version of 0.4.1 suggests it's not quite ready for prime time yet. http://discussions.linuxplanet.com//wink.gif
