VMware and windows games?

curious as to how well vmware works. id like to get rid of windows but i dont want to give up some of my windows stuff that so far doesnt run on linus (like everquest b/c of directx) and was curious if you could run ANY windows app with vmware on a linux system.

Pfff.. I'm pretty sure you can run them, but you will loose alot of speed and performance. It's still emulation, you know.

I know your problem, I have the same thing, only with my graphic programs/video editing. I overcame the problem by getting another computer. Hehehe guess that's not the best solution for everyone.

VMware does not support DirectX, so those games will not run. Support for most of the Creative soundcards is also missing (Creative haven't released their specs for VMware to include support).
