This is most likely a driver problem, but Unreal Tournamet seg faults when It tries to go threw the intro. When I hit escape and bypass the intro I get an update about once every 2-3 seconds, and it stays that way when playing or in the menu screen.

I have the Nvidia Geforce 2 drivers installed for my geforce 2, and I know they work, because quake3 works. When It segfaults I see this at the OpenGL section

GL_VENDOR : Bryan Paul
GL_RENDER : Mesa X11
GL_VERSION : 1.2 Mesa 3.3 beta

I'm guessing it's a mesa problem, I installed the drivers as dictated by the NHF, in Redhat.

There should be no MesaGL files left over before installing NVIDIA_GLX. These files cause the problems:
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a
/usr/lib/libGL.so
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so* ;<all extensions>
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGLcore.so* ;<all extensions>
remove these files before you make NVIDIA_GLX
