Not sure if this is possible but I was wondering if you could change the sounds in Gaim to something a little bit more appealing. I like the sounds with the original AIM and have the files if it is possible to change them.

If you are running gnome, you can go into the control panel under 'sound' and select the 'sound events' tab. Towards the bottom is a section for Gaim. You can change the sounds to anything you want.

Do you think that it is somewhat the same for KDE2. I guess I will go and search for something that may do it.

I couldn't say for sure - I haven't used KDE2. Perhaps someone here will know...
