those free cd's....

anyone remember the site, that you could go to, and they'd send you 2 linux cd's for free? i thought it was redhat 6.2 and caldera...

i signed up, and still haven't received anything... so i was gonna go see if something was wrong, but i can't remember the site's name...

But, I betcha THEY did. Your name and email etc. verified, and ready to be sold to a list mailer, at going market rates.

10/20 Update: We've hit our quota, so we're temporarily disabling new requests. Check back in mid-November for the next CD.

For those of you who have not yet received your CDs from October, the CDs are coming. Please be patient as we are working hard to meet everyone's request.

Yeah, I ordered mine before then and I'm still waiting on them ::mailman comes by, ironic:: so I can send one or both to my girlfriend, who wants to try them out (without giving out her address to the world).

Pogolinux sent me a couple distros. I got RedHat 6.2 a week after 7 was released and I got Mandrake 7.1 a week after 7.2 was released. Great timing, huh?!? http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/rolleyes.gif I haven't received the Debian or Caldera cd's though.

If so just get an iso and make your own..

And the CDs are outdated. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif Unless its Debian (apt-get rules!), I'd rather burn the cd.
